Ernst Grob

Ernst Grob AG has been cold forming splines in bar stock and sheet metal for almost 50 years. Grob initially developed machines to form splines on solid shafts and then expanded to make machines to form splines on sheet metal components, primarily for the automotive transmission business.

Almost every major automatic transmission producer in the world has used or is using the Grob process to make splines on transmission clutch components. More recently, Grob has produced a new range of flexible CNC machines to trim, slot and hole-punch splined clutches. The company has a continuous research and development program to study and improve
their processes, and to test and develop parts for their customers.
